Historically, Ralph Blank, Jr. the member of Florida House of Representatives of Palm Beach County brought in the house a legislation to have the village of Palm Springs in 1957. This historic event made the village to be named after the city of Palm Springs a resort in California because of its stunning views of rolling forests with all manner of vegetation.
