Historically, Ralph Blank, Jr. the member of Florida House of Representatives of Palm Beach County brought in the house a legislation to have the village of Palm Springs in 1957. This historic event made the village to be named after the city of Palm Springs a resort in California because of its stunning views of rolling forests with all manner of vegetation. The climate is generally cooler than the rest of the beach counties. Rainfall in this place is fairly reliable, falling in two seasons.

As of the year 2000, English was the first language that is commonly used by all residents.
